Following the stay-at-home orders in March, Send In The Clowns was forced to abruptly cancel all appearances at upcoming parties. Unable to join clients in person, we quickly pivoted and began bringing popular characters to life through virtual children’s party experiences. As word spread of our new digital offerings, we began booking our kid’s virtual party experiences across Los Angeles and then quickly worldwide as families everywhere began looking for new, creative ways to celebrate children’s birthdays and holidays, and connect with family and friends from afar.
“When it became clear in Mid-March that we were unable to continue joining our customers in-person at their parties for the foreseeable future, our team immediately took the plunge into building our virtual party platform,” said Send In The Clowns Founder Leesa Zelken. “As we began promoting our new capabilities to clients, we saw interest from all across the country. Word quickly spread, and now our formerly L.A. area-only business has connected to celebrate virtual parties with superheroes, princess characters, and mascot friends with families everywhere from Canada to the Cayman Islands.”
Thanks to the power of a supremely creative and talented team, an exceptional 30 year reputation as the leader in children’s party entertainment, tons of word of mouth, and a robust social media following, Send In The Clowns is now the virtual kids party expert, helping families across the globe connect and celebrate safely together/apart every day, with no plans to end virtual party experiences when in-person parties resume. We have developed a variety of digital options, including “Zoomabrations™” where characters join and take part in real-time live parties or custom created pre-filmed “Kideos™” (think: Cameo for kids) where your child’s favorite character can deliver a special, personalized message to be enjoyed whenever and watched on repeat.
